Description

When summer heat is in full swing and you want a dish that’s as beautiful as it is delicious, look no further than these Watermelon Feta Skewers.

Ingredients

Scale

  • 3 cups seedless watermelon, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 6 ounces feta cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves (1 per skewer)
  • 12 tablespoons olive oil (optional, for drizzling)
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper (optional, to taste)
  • 1216 small skewers or long toothpicks

Instructions

1. Prepare ingredients
Cut the watermelon into uniform 1-inch cubes. Pat lightly with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. Cut the feta into similar-sized cubes. Rinse and pat dry the mint leaves.

2. Assemble the skewers
Take one small skewer or toothpick. First thread a cube of watermelon, then a folded mint leaf, followed by a cube of feta cheese. Repeat with remaining ingredients.

3. Arrange on a platter
Place assembled skewers on a serving platter. Space them slightly for easy grabbing.

4. Optional finishing touch
Drizzle lightly with olive oil and add a pinch of sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, if desired, for extra flavor.

5. Serve chilled
Keep refrigerated until ready to serve. These are best served within a few hours of assembling.

Notes

  • Use a melon baller for rounded watermelon shapes — Elegant and fun presentation.

  • Make mini versions for bite-sized hors d’oeuvres — Use toothpicks instead of skewers.

  • Label skewers for themed parties — Add small flags or name tags.

  • Assemble with kids — A safe and fun recipe for little helpers.

  • Pair with a matching fruit and cheese board — Easy way to expand your appetizer spread.
