Description

Looking to add a flavorful, comforting, and easy-to-make side to your holiday menu? These Stuffing Biscuits are your new go-to.

Ingredients

Scale

Base Ingredients:

  • 1 (6 oz) package of stuffing mix (any variety: herb, cornbread, or savory)
  • 1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

Optional Add-Ins:

  • ½ cup cooked, crumbled sausage
  • ½ cup cooked turkey (diced or shredded)
  • ¼ cup finely chopped apple
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley or sage

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin tin or line with paper liners.

Step 2: Hydrate the Stuffing Mix
In a bowl, combine stuffing mix and broth. Let sit for 5–10 minutes so the stuffing absorbs the liquid and softens.

Step 3: Prepare the Dough
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and garlic powder. In another bowl, whisk the egg, sour cream, and melted butter.

Step 4: Combine Everything
Add the wet ingredients to the dry, then fold in the soaked stuffing. Stir gently until fully combined. Add any optional ingredients now (e.g., turkey or sausage).

Step 5: Scoop and Bake
Spoon the dough into muffin cups or onto a baking sheet in rounded mounds. Bake for 18–22 minutes or until the tops are golden and a toothpick comes out clean.

Step 6: Cool and Serve
Let the biscuits rest for 5 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack. Serve warm with butter, gravy, or alongside apple-stuffed turkey.

Notes

  • Let the stuffing fully hydrate before mixing for even distribution
  • Use melted butter or oil to keep biscuits moist and rich
  • Don’t overmix once you combine the wet and dry ingredients—stir just until combined
