Few things say summer like a juicy peach. Add in tangy cream cheese and a moist, tender loaf, and you’ve got something truly special: the Peaches and Cream Cheese Loaf.
Ingredients
For the Loaf:
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- 1 cup fresh peaches, peeled and diced (or drained canned peaches)
For the Cream Cheese Swirl:
- 6 oz cream cheese, softened
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 large egg yolk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat and Prep
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
Step 2: Make the Cream Cheese Mixture
In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese with sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
Step 3: Make the Loaf Batter
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla. Mix in the sour cream. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Fold in the diced peaches.
Step 4: Layer and Swirl
Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan. Spoon the cream cheese mixture on top, then add the remaining batter. Swirl gently with a knife for a marbled effect.
Step 5: Bake
Bake for 55–60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

- Use nectarines instead of peaches
- Add a streusel topping for a crunchy finish
- Mix in white chocolate chips for extra richness
- Drizzle with icing made from powdered sugar and peach juice
