Ingredients
- 1 (32 oz) bag frozen tater tots
- 1 lb ground breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (mild or sharp)
- 6 large eggs
- 1 ½ cups milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional add-ins: chopped bell peppers, green onions, diced tomatoes, jalapeños
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
Spread the cooked sausage evenly in the bottom of the dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the sausage. Arrange tater tots in a single layer over the top.
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Pour the mixture evenly over the casserole, making sure to cover the tots.
Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the tater tots are golden and crispy on top.
Let the casserole rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with your favorite breakfast sides or sauces.
