Description
These Sweet Chili Meatballs are sticky, juicy, and full of sweet-savory flavor thanks to a delicious grape jelly and chili sauce glaze. Made in the crockpot, they’re perfect for parties, weeknight dinners, or holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 32 oz (2 lbs) frozen fully cooked meatballs (or homemade)
- 1 cup grape jelly
- 1 cup chili sauce (like Heinz)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Make the Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together grape jelly, chili sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes until smooth.
- Add to Crockpot: Place frozen meatballs in the crockpot. Pour the sauce over them and stir gently to coat evenly.
- Cook: Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or high for 2–3 hours. Stir once halfway through cooking.
- Serve: Once heated through and glazed, serve hot as an appetizer or main dish.
Notes
- Use any meatball variety: Beef, turkey, or chicken all work well.
- Adjust sauce thickness: If too thick, add water or broth. If too thin, remove lid to reduce or add cornstarch slurry.
- Make ahead: Store in fridge up to 4 days or freeze for 3 months.
- Flavor variations: Try apricot or cranberry jelly, BBQ sauce, or soy sauce and honey for different twists.
