Strawberry Mousse Recipe : Light & Creamy

If you’re looking for a simple, elegant, and refreshing dessert, this Strawberry Mousse Recipe is exactly what you need.

Ingredients

Scale

  • 2 cups chopped strawberries (fresh or frozen and thawed)
  • ¼ cup sweetener of choice (maple syrup, honey, or regular sugar)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Optional: pinch of salt to enhance flavor
  • 1 cup full-fat coconut cream or heavy whipping cream
  • Optional toppings: sliced strawberries, coconut whipped cream, mint leaves

Instructions

1. Blend the Strawberries

Place the chopped strawberries in a blender or food processor with your sweetener and vanilla. Blend until completely smooth. If you want a seedless mousse, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve.

2. Whip the Cream

In a chilled bowl, whip your coconut cream or heavy cream using an electric mixer until it forms soft peaks. This takes about 3–5 minutes.

3. Fold Together

Using a spatula, gently fold the strawberry puree into the whipped cream. Fold slowly and carefully to keep the mixture airy and light.

4. Chill

Divide the mousse into serving dishes and chill in the fridge for at least 1–2 hours to firm up and develop flavor.

5. Serve

Top with fresh strawberries, extra whipped cream, or shredded coconut and serve chilled.

Notes

  • Use ripe, sweet strawberries: The better the fruit, the better the flavor.
  • Chill your mixing bowl and cream before whipping to get maximum fluffiness.
  • Fold, don’t stir: Mixing too aggressively can deflate the mousse.
