Description
This Strawberry Cream Soda is a sweet, fizzy, and creamy summer drink made with real strawberries, vanilla cream, and sparkling soda. Perfect for parties, picnics, or a nostalgic treat, it’s an easy-to-make beverage that both kids and adults will love.
Ingredients
2 cups (300g) fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar 1/4 cup (60ml) water 1 teaspoon lemon juice Ice cubes Club soda or sparkling water (about 3 cups or 700ml) 1/2 cup (120ml) heavy cream (or half-and-half) Fresh strawberries or mint, for garnish
Instructions
1. In a saucepan, combine strawberries, sugar, water, and lemon juice. Simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until strawberries are soft and syrupy. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve and let cool. 2. Fill tall glasses with ice cubes. Add about 3–4 tablespoons of cooled strawberry syrup per glass. 3. Pour club soda over the syrup and ice, filling each glass about 3/4 full. Stir gently. 4. Slowly drizzle a splash of cream into each glass just before serving. 5. Garnish with fresh strawberries, mint, or a colorful straw if desired.
Notes
• Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor. • Make the syrup ahead of time and refrigerate. • Add vanilla ice cream instead of cream for a soda float variation. • Adjust syrup to taste for more or less sweetness.
