Description

These Spooky Mummy Brownies are fudgy, festive, and easy to make! Decorated with white chocolate drizzle and candy eyes, they’re the ultimate Halloween party treat for kids and adults alike. Whether you’re hosting a school event or a Halloween bash, these brownies are sure to wow your crowd.

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Brownies:
  • 1 box (18.3 oz / 520g) brownie mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup (120ml) vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons (45ml) water
  • For the Mummy Decoration:
  • 1 cup (120g) white candy melts or white chocolate chips
  • 1220 edible candy eyes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C) or as directed on brownie mix. Line an 8×8 or 9×9 inch pan with parchment paper and lightly grease.
  2. Mix the brownie batter with eggs, oil, and water in a large bowl. Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 35–40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  3. Allow brownies to cool completely in the pan. Once cool, lift out and cut into 12–16 squares.
  4. Melt the candy melts or white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
  5. Transfer melted chocolate to a piping bag or zip-top bag. Snip the corner and drizzle over brownies in zig-zag lines to mimic mummy bandages.
  6. While chocolate is still soft, press two candy eyes onto each brownie.
  7. Let set fully before serving or packaging for parties.

Notes

  • Use parchment paper for easy brownie removal and cleaner cuts.
  • Let brownies cool completely before decorating to prevent melted chocolate from sliding.
  • For a fun twist, use colored candy melts or tint the white chocolate with Halloween food coloring.
  • Store decorated brownies in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature.
  • Freeze undecorated brownies for up to 2 months and decorate after thawing.
