  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease and flour a 12-cup bundt pan.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  3. Cream Butter, Oil & Sugar: Beat butter, oil, and sugar until light and fluffy (4–5 minutes).
  4. Add Eggs & Vanilla: Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  5. Blend Wet & Dry: Mix in mashed sweet potatoes and sour cream. Alternate adding dry ingredients with milk, starting and ending with dry. Mix just until combined.
  6. Bake: Pour into pan, smooth top, and bake for 75–85 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool 15 minutes in pan, then invert onto rack.
  7. Glaze: Whisk glaze ingredients and drizzle over cooled cake if desired.
