- 1/3 cup (40 g) cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup (65 g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Optional Add-ins: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans, 1/4 cup chocolate chunks, sprinkle of flaky sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Set to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
- Make the cookie layer: Cream butter and sugars until fluffy. Mix in egg and vanilla. Add flour, baking soda, and salt, then fold in chocolate chips. Spread evenly in the pan.
- Add Oreos: Place Oreos on top of the cookie dough in a single layer.
- Prepare brownie batter: Melt butter, then whisk with sugars until smooth. Add eggs, vanilla, cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Stir until combined.
- Assemble and bake: Pour brownie batter over Oreos, spreading to cover. Bake for 35–40 minutes until top is set but center is still soft.
