- 2 bell peppers (one green, one red), sliced into strips
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated

- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tsp black pepper (freshly ground)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- ½ cup beef broth or water
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp sesame oil (optional)
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Marinate the beef: In a bowl, combine sliced beef with 1 tbsp soy sauce, black pepper, and cornstarch. Toss well and let marinate for 15 minutes.
- Prepare the sauce: Mix the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and beef broth in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Cook the beef: Heat vegetable oil in a hot wok over high heat. Stir-fry the beef quickly until browned but not fully cooked, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté aromatics and veggies: In the same wok, add garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add sliced onions and bell peppers and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Combine and simmer: Return the beef to the wok. Pour the sauce over the ingredients, stirring to coat everything evenly. Cook for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens and beef is cooked through. Drizzle with sesame oil if using.
- Garnish and serve: Sprinkle chopped green onions on top. Serve immediately with steamed rice or noodles.
