- 12 large white mushrooms (approx. 300g), stems removed and cleaned
- 1/2 pound (225g) cooked shrimp, chopped
- 1/4 pound (115g) cooked crabmeat (fresh, canned, or imitation)
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1/2 block (113g) cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional)
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat: Heat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease or line a baking tray.
- Prepare Mushrooms: Clean mushrooms and remove stems. Hollow slightly for filling.
- Mix Filling: Combine shrimp, crab, garlic, onions, parsley, and cayenne in a bowl. Fold in cream cheese, mozzarella, and Parmesan. Season with salt and pepper.
- Stuff Mushrooms: Fill each mushroom cap with seafood mixture.
- Add Topping: Sprinkle breadcrumb and butter mix over mushrooms if using.
- Bake: Bake 18–20 minutes until mushrooms are tender and tops are golden.
- Serve: Garnish with parsley or chives and serve warm.
