Description

This Potsticker Stir Fry is a fast, one-pan dinner made with crispy frozen potstickers, colorful stir-fry vegetables, and a savory Asian-style sauce. It’s better than takeout, budget-friendly, and perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16-ounce) bag frozen potstickers (chicken, pork, or vegetable)
  • 2 tablespoons neutral oil (canola or avocado oil)
  • 1 (16-ounce) bag frozen stir-fry vegetables or 4 cups fresh mixed vegetables
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (optional)
  • Green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Optional: red pepper flakes or sriracha

Instructions

  1. Sear Potstickers: Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat. Add frozen potstickers in a single layer and cook for 2 minutes until the bottoms are golden.
  2. Steam: Carefully add 1/4 cup water, cover, and steam for 5 minutes until potstickers are tender. Remove and set aside.
  3. Cook Vegetables: Add remaining oil to the skillet. Add vegetables and stir-fry over medium-high heat for 5–7 minutes until crisp-tender.
  4. Make Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and cornstarch slurry if using.
  5. Combine: Return potstickers to the pan, pour sauce over everything, and toss gently.
  6. Finish: Simmer for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Garnish and serve hot.

Notes

  • Crispier potstickers: Don’t overcrowd the pan.
  • Healthier option: Use low-sodium soy sauce or coconut aminos.
  • Gluten-free: Use gluten-free potstickers and tamari.
  • Protein boost: Add shrimp, tofu, or rotisserie chicken.
  • Meal prep: Store leftovers up to 3 days in the fridge.
