- 3–5 dill pickle slices or sandwich stackers (drained and patted dry)
- 1–2 tablespoons butter (for spreading on the bread)

Instructions
Spread butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread. On the unbuttered sides, layer your cheese and pickles. Add any optional spreads or condiments at this point.
Stack the sandwich so the buttered sides are facing out and the cheese and pickles are on the inside.
Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Place the sandwich in the pan and cook slowly to allow the cheese to melt without burning the bread. Grill for about 3–4 minutes per side, pressing slightly with a spatula.
