- 10–12 slices pepperoni
- 1 tablespoon butter (for the skillet)
- Optional toppings: sliced black olives, sautéed mushrooms, diced green peppers
- Optional garnish: dried oregano, red pepper flakes, parmesan cheese
Multiply ingredients depending on how many pizzadillas you want to make!
Instructions
1. Prep Your Ingredients
- Lay out your tortilla on a clean surface.
- Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over half of the tortilla.
- Sprinkle mozzarella evenly on top of the sauce.
- Arrange pepperoni slices over the cheese.
- Add any extra toppings you like!
2. Fold and Butter
- Carefully fold the tortilla over to create a half-moon shape.
- Lightly butter the outside of the folded tortilla.
Tip: Butter gives you that delicious, golden-crisp crust!
3. Cook the Pizzadilla
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Place the pizzadilla in the pan.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and the cheese has melted.
4. Slice and Serve
- Remove from the skillet and let cool for a minute.
- Slice into wedges like a pizza.
- Serve with extra pizza sauce for dipping!
Notes
- Don’t Overfill: Too much sauce or cheese can cause the pizzadilla to burst open.
- Medium Heat is Best: Too hot and the tortilla will burn before the cheese melts.
- Get Creative: Try swapping out the pepperoni for cooked sausage, shredded rotisserie chicken, or sautéed veggies!
- Make It Healthier: Use whole wheat tortillas and turkey pepperoni.
