Description
Rich, creamy, crunchy, and irresistibly nostalgic—Oreo Dirt Cake is the ultimate no-bake dessert that everyone from kids to adults can’t resist.
Ingredients
For the Oreo Layer:
- 1 family-size package of Oreos (about 36 cookies), crushed into crumbs
For the Creamy Filling:
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 (3.9 oz) packages instant vanilla pudding mix
- 2 ¾ cups cold milk
- 1 (12 oz) tub Cool Whip, thawed
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional for added flavor)
Instructions
Place the Oreos in a food processor and pulse until they become fine crumbs. If you don’t have a processor, place them in a sealed bag and crush with a rolling pin.
In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter together until smooth. Add the powdered sugar and beat until fully combined and fluffy.
In a separate bowl, whisk the pudding mixes with cold milk until smooth and thickened. Let it sit for 3–5 minutes.
Add the pudding to the cream cheese mixture and mix until smooth. Gently fold in the Cool Whip to create a light, fluffy filling.
In a 9×13-inch baking dish or a large trifle bowl, layer crushed Oreos on the bottom. Add half the pudding mixture, then repeat the layers, ending with Oreo crumbs on top.
Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (preferably overnight) before serving. The longer it sits, the better the layers meld together.
Notes
- Use instant pudding for a quick, thick base
- Let the Cool Whip thaw fully to avoid lumps
