Ingredients
- 1 (3 oz) box orange Jell-O
- 1 (3.4 oz) box instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1 cup boiling water
- ½ cup cold water
- 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
- 1 (15 oz) can mandarin oranges, drained
- 1 ½ cups mini marshmallows
- Optional: ½ cup drained pineapple tidbits or chopped peaches
Instructions
Step 1: Dissolve the Jell-O
In a medium bowl, whisk the orange gelatin powder with 1 cup of boiling water until completely dissolved. Stir in ½ cup cold water. Let the mixture cool for about 10 minutes.
Step 2: Add Pudding Mix
Whisk in the instant vanilla pudding mix until smooth and well combined. The mixture will start to thicken slightly.
Step 3: Fold in Whipped Topping
Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping using a spatula until fully incorporated. The texture will become light and fluffy.
Step 4: Add Fruit and Marshmallows
Fold in the drained mandarin oranges, mini marshmallows, and any optional fruit like peaches or pineapple.
Step 5: Chill Before Serving
Transfer the salad to the refrigerator and chill for at least 1–2 hours to set and allow the flavors to blend.
