Description

Orange Cranberry Mojitos are the perfect balance of citrusy, minty freshness and a hint of spice. Made with fresh orange juice, tart cranberries, mint, and a touch of jalapeño, this vibrant cocktail brings holiday sparkle to any occasion—from cozy winter dinners to festive parties. Refreshing, colorful, and easy to make, these mojitos are as stunning as they are delicious.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1 jalapeño, sliced (remove seeds for less heat)
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • 3/4 cup blood orange juice (or regular orange juice)
  • Ice cubes
  • Chilled sparkling water or club soda
  • Fresh mint sprigs, for garnish
  • Lime and orange slices, for garnish
  • Whole cranberries (optional)
  • Granulated sugar, for rimming glasses (optional)

Instructions

  1. Make Cranberry Syrup: In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, and water. Simmer for 10 minutes until cranberries burst and mixture thickens slightly. Strain and cool.
  2. Muddle Mint & Jalapeño: In a pitcher, gently muddle mint leaves and jalapeño slices to release their aroma and spice.
  3. Mix the Base: Add lime juice, orange juice, and cooled cranberry syrup to the pitcher. Stir well.
  4. Assemble Mojitos: Fill glasses with ice, pour mojito mixture halfway, then top with sparkling water. Stir gently.
  5. Garnish & Serve: Add mint sprigs, cranberries, and citrus slices. Optionally, rim glasses with sugar for a festive look.

Notes

  • Use fresh juice: Fresh-squeezed orange and lime juice provide the brightest flavor.
  • Don’t over-muddle: Gently press mint to avoid bitterness.
  • Adjust heat: Use more or less jalapeño depending on spice preference.
  • Make-ahead tip: Prepare the base up to 3 days ahead; add sparkling water before serving.
  • Mocktail version: Skip jalapeño and use flavored sparkling water for a kid-friendly twist.
