Description

Muddy Snowballs are sweet, crunchy no-bake treats made with melted marshmallows, milk chocolate, peanut butter, and crispy Rice Krispies—rolled into soft bite-sized balls and coated in powdered sugar. They’re the perfect holiday cookie swap treat, after-school snack, or festive dessert to share with family and friends.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 (10 oz) bag mini marshmallows
  • 1½ cups milk chocolate chips
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Stir in marshmallows and melt until smooth.
  3. Add chocolate chips and peanut butter, stir until melted.
  4. Remove from heat and fold in cereal.
  5. Let cool slightly, then shape into 1-inch balls.
  6. Roll in powdered sugar and let set on parchment.
  7. Store in airtight container or freeze.

Notes

  • Let mixture cool before rolling to prevent sticking.
  • Use gloves or greased hands for easier shaping.
  • Store at room temp 3 days, refrigerated 5–6 days, or freeze up to 6 weeks.
