For the Chicken:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
For the Parmesan Crust Topping:
- ½ cup mayonnaise (or ranch dressing for extra flavor)
- ½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup provolone or mozzarella cheese, shredded
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- ¼ cup panko breadcrumbs
Instructions
Step 1: Season & Sear the Chicken
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
- Sear the chicken for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown.
Step 2: Bake the Chicken
- Transfer skillet to the preheated oven.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until chicken reaches 165°F (75°C) internally.
Step 3: Prepare the Parmesan Crust
- In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, provolone, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- In a separate bowl, combine melted butter and panko breadcrumbs for the topping.
Step 4: Add the Topping & Broil
- Remove chicken from the oven and spread the Parmesan mixture over each breast.
- Sprinkle with the buttered panko breadcrumbs for extra crispiness.
- Place under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, until golden brown and bubbly.
Step 5: Serve & Enjoy!
- Let rest for 5 minutes, then serve with your favorite sides.
