Instructions
Step 1: Bake the Potatoes
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Scrub the russet potatoes, then pat dry.
- Rub with olive oil, salt, and black pepper, then place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and the inside is fork-tender.
Step 2: Cook the Hashbrowns
- While the potatoes bake, heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the hashbrown patties for 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
- Set aside on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
