- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs (for extra crispiness)
For the Lemon Pepper Sauce:
- 3 tablespoons vegan butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
For Garnish (Optional):
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat & Prepare the Baking Sheet
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Step 2: Make the Batter
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, plant-based milk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt until smooth.
- Place panko breadcrumbs in a separate bowl.
Step 3: Coat the Cauliflower
- Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, coating evenly.
- Roll in panko breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
- Place on the prepared baking sheet.
Step 4: Bake the Cauliflower
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- (Air-Fryer Option: Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 15 minutes, shaking halfway.)
Step 5: Make the Lemon Pepper Sauce
- In a small bowl, mix melted vegan butter, olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, black pepper, garlic powder, and salt.
- Whisk until well combined.
Step 6: Toss & Serve
- Remove the cauliflower from the oven.
- Toss in the lemon pepper sauce until evenly coated.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
