Ingredients
- 2 (8-ounce) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 8 slices deli ham or turkey ham
- 8 slices hard salami
- 8 slices pepperoni
- 8 slices provolone cheese
- ½ cup banana pepper rings (optional for zing)
- 2 tablespoons Italian dressing or mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon or spicy mustard
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan (optional topping)
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease your baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
Step 2: Roll out one can of crescent roll dough on the bottom of the dish. Press the seams together to form a solid base.
Step 3: In a small bowl, mix the Italian dressing, mustard, and seasoning to create your flavorful spread.
Step 4: Layer on half of the cheese, followed by ham, salami, pepperoni, banana peppers, and then the rest of the cheese.
Step 5: Spread your dressing mixture lightly over the top before adding the final crescent roll layer. Roll out the second sheet of dough and gently place it on top, sealing the edges as best you can.
Step 6: Brush the top with beaten egg and sprinkle with grated Parmesan if desired.
Step 7: Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and cooked through. If it browns too quickly, cover loosely with foil halfway through.
Notes
Make sure to seal the seams in the dough well to prevent the filling from leaking. Don’t overload with filling—this can make the bottom layer soggy. Use a sharp knife or pizza cutter to get clean edges when slicing. If your dough is too sticky, chill it briefly in the fridge before handling. For extra crispness, bake the bottom layer for 5 minutes before adding the fillings.
