- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (113g), melted
- 1/4 cup honey (60ml)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (5ml)

- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking pan or cast-iron skillet with butter or non-stick spray.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, melted butter, honey, and vanilla extract.
- Mix Wet and Dry Ingredients: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan or skillet. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean and the top is golden brown.
- Make the Honey Glaze (Optional): Heat 2 tablespoons of honey in a small saucepan over low heat. Drizzle over the cornbread after it comes out of the oven for extra sweetness.
