Description
Looking to level up your dessert game in a quick and delicious way? Meet the secret weapon your treats have been missing: Graham Cracker Crumble Topping.
Ingredients
This recipe yields about 1½ cups of crumble topping—enough to top 6–8 servings of dessert.
- 1½ cups graham cracker crumbs (about 10 full graham cracker sheets)
- ¼ cup brown sugar (light or dark)
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional but recommended)
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- Pinch of salt
Optional Add-ins:
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped nuts (pecans, almonds)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon freeze-dried fruit bits (for strawberry crunch crumble)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the graham crumbs
If not using pre-crushed crumbs, crush graham crackers into fine crumbs using a food processor or rolling pin.
Step 2: Mix dry ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
Step 3: Add melted butter
Pour in melted butter and stir until the mixture is evenly coated and looks like wet sand. Add vanilla extract if using.
Step 4: Choose your method – baked or no-bake
For a baked crumble, spread the mixture on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8–10 minutes, stirring halfway. Let cool completely before using.
For a no-bake crumble topping, skip the oven and use the mixture as-is—perfect for layering in parfaits or topping ice cream.
