- ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
Step 1: Activate the Yeast
- In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast.
- Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
Step 2: Mix & Knead the Dough
- In a large bowl, mix flour and salt.
- Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg, stirring until a sticky dough forms.
- Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Step 3: First Rise
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Step 4: Shape the Rolls
- Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces.
- Roll each piece into a smooth ball and place on a greased baking sheet.
Step 5: Second Rise & Bake
- Cover and let the rolls rise for 30-45 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, until golden brown.
Step 6: Brush with Garlic Parmesan Butter
- Mix melted butter, garlic, Parmesan, and herbs.
- Brush over warm rolls and sprinkle with extra Parmesan.
