  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven
Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.

2. Prep your muffins
Split English muffins in half and lay them on the baking sheet, cut-side up. Lightly toast in the oven for 3–4 minutes while you prep the toppings.

3. Add sauce and toppings
If using sauce, spread a thin layer on each muffin. Top with shredded cheese, cooked sausage or veggies, and make a small well in the center for the egg.

4. Crack the egg
Crack one egg onto each muffin half. For a more controlled cook, you can bake the eggs separately in a muffin tin and place them on top afterward.
