Instructions

1. Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook your pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve about ½ cup of pasta water before draining.

2. Sauté the Garlic
In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and cook gently until fragrant and golden (about 2–3 minutes). Be careful not to let the garlic burn—it should be soft and slightly golden, not brown.

3. Add the Lemon
Add lemon zest and juice to the pan and stir to combine. Cook for another 1–2 minutes to let the flavors meld.

4. Toss the Pasta
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet along with a splash of reserved pasta water. Toss everything together until the sauce coats the noodles evenly. Add more pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.

5. Season and Garnish
Season generously with salt and freshly cracked black pepper. Sprinkle with chopped parsley, a pinch of red pepper flakes if desired, and grated Parmesan cheese.

6. Serve Immediately
