Ingredients
For the Cookies:
- 2 ½ cups (315g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup (170g) unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup (150g) brown sugar
- ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup (180g) pastel M&Ms (Easter-themed)
- ½ cup (90g) white chocolate chips (optional)
For Decoration (Optional):
- Extra pastel M&Ms for topping
- Sprinkles for a festive touch
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 2 minutes).
Mix in eggs, one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Gently fold in pastel M&Ms and white chocolate chips.
Drop spoonfuls of dough (about 1 ½ tablespoons each) onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the centers are soft.
Immediately press extra pastel M&Ms on top of each cookie for a bakery-style look. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
- Use room-temperature butter – This ensures a smooth dough.
- Press extra M&Ms on top – This makes the cookies look extra festive.
- Don’t overbake – They will continue to cook on the baking sheet.
- Let them cool properly – This helps set the texture while keeping them soft.
