Description
This Crockpot Kielbasa and Green Beans is a hearty, comforting, and incredibly easy slow cooker dish. Smoky kielbasa, tender green beans, and buttery potatoes come together in a flavorful one-pot meal — perfect for busy weeknights, potlucks, or casual holiday spreads.
Ingredients
1 pound smoked kielbasa, sliced into rounds 1.5 pounds green beans, trimmed (fresh or frozen) 1.5 pounds baby potatoes, halved or quartered 1 medium onion, diced 3 cloves garlic, minced 1 cup chicken broth 2 tablespoons butter, melted Salt and black pepper, to taste Optional: crushed red pepper flakes or smoked paprika, for extra flavor
Instructions
1. Prepare ingredients: slice kielbasa, trim green beans, dice onion. 2. Place potatoes, green beans, onion, garlic, and kielbasa in the slow cooker. 3. Pour in chicken broth and drizzle with melted butter. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and optional seasonings. 4. Stir gently to combine. Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until potatoes are fork-tender. 5. Taste and adjust seasonings before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
• Fresh green beans give the best texture, but frozen can be used. • For creamier potatoes, mash a few into the broth just before serving. • Stir gently when serving to keep beans intact. • For a healthier version, use lean turkey kielbasa and reduce butter.
