Description
Creamy Shrimp Pasta combines succulent shrimp with a velvety Parmesan Alfredo sauce. This easy-to-make dish delivers a rich, indulgent experience with every bite, making it perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or special occasions.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta (or your favorite pasta)
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, until they turn pink. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute. Add heavy cream, Parmesan, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir until the sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add the cooked pasta and shrimp to the skillet. Toss everything together and cook for another 1–2 minutes to combine the flavors.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- Don’t overcook the shrimp, as it can turn rubbery. They’re done once they turn pink and opaque.
- Use freshly minced garlic for the best flavor.
- Adjust the cream for a thicker or lighter sauce, depending on your preference.
