Description
These Festive Christmas Oreo Balls are creamy, rich, no-bake chocolate truffles made with crushed Oreos, cream cheese, and a smooth chocolate coating. Perfect for parties, gifting, and holiday dessert boards with endless decorating possibilities.
Ingredients
Scale
- 36 Oreo cookies (regular, not double-stuffed)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups melting chocolate (white or semisweet)
- 1/2 cup red and green holiday sprinkles
- Optional decorations: mini candy canes, edible glitter, red gel icing, chocolate drizzle, melted white chocolate
Instructions
- Crush the Oreos: Add Oreos to a food processor and blend into fine crumbs.
- Mix with Cream Cheese: Transfer crumbs to a bowl and mix with softened cream cheese until fully combined into a smooth dough.
- Shape: Roll into 1-inch balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Chill 20–30 minutes.
- Melt Chocolate: Microwave chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Dip: Using a fork, dip each ball into the melted chocolate, letting excess drip off.
- Decorate: Add sprinkles or decorations immediately while chocolate is soft.
- Chill: Refrigerate for at least 1 hour until chocolate coating is firm. Serve chilled.
Notes
- Use regular Oreos—double-stuffed makes the dough too soft.
- Chill dough before dipping for cleaner coating.
- Use melting wafers or almond bark for smoothest results.
- Add sprinkles right after dipping so they stick.
- These freeze exceptionally well for holiday prep.
