- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar, for rolling

Instructions
- Beat softened butter and cream cheese until smooth.
- Add egg and vanilla; mix until combined.
- Slowly add cake mix and mix until dough forms (it will be thick).
- Cover dough and refrigerate 1 hour or up to overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
- Roll 1-inch dough balls in powdered sugar.
- Place 2 inches apart and slightly flatten.
- Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are set and tops slightly cracked.
- Cool 2 minutes on pan, then transfer to wire rack.
Notes
- Chill dough to prevent spreading.
- Do not overbake; centers should stay soft.
- Use cookie scoop for even sizing.
- Roll generously in powdered sugar.
- Add sprinkles before baking.
- Storage: 5 days at room temperature; freeze up to 3 months.
