Description

Looking for a deliciously indulgent yet simple dessert? Gourmet Chocolate-Covered Strawberries are the answer! These strawberries, dipped in rich, creamy chocolate and decorated with your favorite toppings, are the ultimate sweet snack for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb fresh strawberries (fully washed)
  • 8 oz high-quality dark chocolate (or milk chocolate for a sweeter treat)
  • 8 oz white chocolate (for drizzling or decorating)
  • Toppings of your choice: crushed nuts (almonds, pistachios, etc.), sprinkles, shredded coconut, or mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberries: Rinse the strawberries thoroughly and pat them dry with a paper towel. Make sure there’s no moisture left on them.
  2. Melting the Chocolate: Melt the dark chocolate in 30-second intervals in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring in between. Repeat with the white chocolate in a separate bowl.
  3. Dip the Strawberries: Hold the strawberries by the green stems and dip them into the melted chocolate. Allow excess chocolate to drip off before placing them on parchment paper.
  4. Add Toppings: While the chocolate is still soft, sprinkle or roll the strawberries in your chosen toppings, such as crushed nuts, sprinkles, or mini chocolate chips. Drizzle white chocolate on top for a decorative finish.
  5. Let Them Set: Let the chocolate-covered strawberries sit at room temperature for 30 minutes or refrigerate them to speed up the process. The chocolate will harden and set.
  6. Serve: Once set, serve immediately or store in the fridge until ready to eat.

Notes

  • Don’t Overheat the Chocolate: Melt the chocolate slowly to avoid seizing up.
  • Use Fresh Strawberries: Fresh, firm strawberries work best. Avoid overripe or mushy strawberries.
  • Let the Chocolate Set: Allow the chocolate to set properly to avoid smearing.
  • Storage: Store leftover chocolate-covered strawberries in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
