Ingredients
- 1 large loaf of French bread or Italian bread
- 2 cups cooked and shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works great)
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 tablespoon green onions or chives, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted (for brushing the bread)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Slice the French bread lengthwise without cutting all the way through—creating a pocket. Scoop out some of the inside to make room for the filling.
In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken, ranch dressing, mozzarella, cheddar, bacon, garlic powder, pepper, and green onions. Mix until evenly coated.
Spoon the chicken mixture into the bread cavity, pressing it in gently. Brush the top of the bread with melted butter for extra crispness.
Place the stuffed bread on the baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes, until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Allow to cool for 5 minutes. Slice into portions and serve warm.
