Ingredients

Scale

For the Cajun Shrimp:

  • 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning

For the Cajun Steak:

  • 1 lb sirloin steak (or ribeye), trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Alfredo Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Pasta:

  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • Salted water for boiling

Garnish (optional):

  • Chopped parsley
  • Extra grated Parmesan
  • Crushed red pepper flakes

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Pasta
Boil fettuccine according to package instructions in salted water. Drain and set aside, reserving about ½ cup of pasta water.

Step 2: Season the Shrimp and Steak
In separate bowls, toss shrimp with olive oil and Cajun seasoning. Rub the steak with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.

Step 3: Cook the Steak
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak 3–4 minutes per side (for medium-rare) or until desired doneness. Let it rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly.

Step 4: Cook the Shrimp
In the same pan, cook shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.

Step 5: Make the Alfredo Sauce
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Whisk in Parmesan and season with salt and pepper. Simmer until thick and smooth.

Step 6: Combine and Serve
Toss cooked fettuccine in the Alfredo sauce. Add a splash of reserved pasta water if needed for consistency. Plate the pasta and top with sliced steak and shrimp. Garnish and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use high heat to sear both steak and shrimp—this locks in moisture and flavor.
  • Let steak rest before slicing to retain its juices.
  • Don’t overcook shrimp—they only need 2–3 minutes per side.
