Description

Biscuits and Gravy Breakfast Pizza combines all your favorite Southern breakfast flavors into one cheesy, hearty, crowd-pleasing dish. With a flaky biscuit crust, creamy sausage gravy, fluffy scrambled eggs, and melted cheddar cheese, this recipe is perfect for family brunches, holiday mornings, or breakfast-for-dinner nights.

Ingredients

Scale
    • 1 can refrigerated flaky biscuits
    • 1/2 lb ground pork sausage
    • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
    • 3/4 cup milk
    • Salt and pepper, to taste
    • 5 eggs, scrambled
    • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or more, to taste)

  • Optional Toppings: Chopped green onions, hash browns, crumbled bacon, jalapeños, or red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Set oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare crust: Flatten each biscuit slightly and press together on a greased baking sheet or pizza pan to form a large crust. Bake for 8–10 minutes until lightly golden but not fully done.
  3. Cook sausage and make gravy: In a skillet, cook sausage until browned and crumbly. Stir in flour and cook 1 minute, then whisk in milk. Simmer until thickened; season with salt and pepper.
  4. Scramble eggs: In a separate pan, cook eggs until just set.
  5. Assemble pizza: Spread sausage gravy over the parbaked crust, top with scrambled eggs and shredded cheese.
  6. Bake: Return to oven for 10–12 minutes, until crust is golden and cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Cool and serve: Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Don’t overbake the crust in the first step — it should finish baking with toppings.
  • Use a thick gravy to prevent the crust from getting soggy.
  • Freshly shredded cheese melts better than pre-shredded.
  • Customize with veggies or bacon for extra flavor.
  • Leftovers reheat well in the oven or microwave.
