Description

If you’re looking for quick easy breakfast ideas for a group, these Baked Ham and Cheese Croissants are a perfect choice!

Ingredients

Scale

  • 4 croissants, sliced in half
  • 8 slices ham
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese (or cheddar, Gruyère, or provolone)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional, for a slight sweetness)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon poppy seeds (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2: Assemble the Croissants

Place the croissant bottoms on the baking sheet. Add one slice of ham and one slice of cheese to each. Cover with the croissant tops.

Step 3: Make the Butter Glaze

In a small bowl, mix melted butter, Dijon mustard, honey, and garlic powder.

Step 4: Brush and Bake

Brush the tops of the croissants with the butter mixture. Sprinkle with poppy seeds (if using). Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the croissants are golden and the cheese is melted.

Step 5: Serve and Enjoy!

Let cool slightly and serve warm with fresh fruit or a side of scrambled eggs.

Notes

Use Fresh, Buttery Croissants – The better the croissant, the better the taste.
Toast Lightly Before Baking – Adds extra crispiness.
Experiment with Cheeses – Gruyère, brie, or mozzarella work beautifully.
