Description
If you’re looking for quick easy breakfast ideas for a group, these Baked Ham and Cheese Croissants are a perfect choice!
Ingredients
- 4 croissants, sliced in half
- 8 slices ham
- 4 slices Swiss cheese (or cheddar, Gruyère, or provolone)
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon honey (optional, for a slight sweetness)
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon poppy seeds (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place the croissant bottoms on the baking sheet. Add one slice of ham and one slice of cheese to each. Cover with the croissant tops.
In a small bowl, mix melted butter, Dijon mustard, honey, and garlic powder.
Brush the tops of the croissants with the butter mixture. Sprinkle with poppy seeds (if using). Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the croissants are golden and the cheese is melted.
Let cool slightly and serve warm with fresh fruit or a side of scrambled eggs.
Notes
✔ Use Fresh, Buttery Croissants – The better the croissant, the better the taste.
✔ Toast Lightly Before Baking – Adds extra crispiness.
✔ Experiment with Cheeses – Gruyère, brie, or mozzarella work beautifully.
