All the flavors of homemade apple pie in a fun, shareable dip. This Apple Pie Dip with Cinnamon Sugar Chips combines warm, spiced apples with crispy cinnamon-sugar tortilla chips for the perfect fall dessert that’s quick, easy, and irresistibly delicious.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Apple Pie Dip:

  • 4 cups peeled and diced apples (about 34 medium apples)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon warm water

For the Cinnamon Sugar Chips:

  • 10 small flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Prep Apples: Peel and dice apples into small chunks. Toss with lemon juice.
  2. Cook Filling: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine apples, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cook about 10 minutes until tender but not mushy.
  3. Thicken: Mix cornstarch with warm water, stir into apples, and cook until thickened. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
  4. Make Chips: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Brush tortillas with melted butter on both sides. Sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mix, cut into triangles, and arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake: Bake 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
  6. Serve: Enjoy dip warm with chips on the side, or use as a topping for pancakes, waffles, or bread.

Notes

  • Best apples: Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work well for balance of sweet and tart.
  • Storage: Dip can be made 2–3 days ahead and refrigerated; chips keep up to 3 days at room temperature.
  • Variations: Add chopped pecans or walnuts, swirl in caramel, or swap apples for pears or peaches.
  • Freezing: Freeze cooled dip in airtight container up to 1 month; thaw overnight before reheating.
  • Serving ideas: Use in apple pie nachos, dessert boards, or mini mason jars for parties.
