Warm & Wholesome Apple Cinnamon Cottage Cheese Bake Recipe

  • Author: Lyndy
  • Total Time: 45–50 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Description

This Apple Cinnamon Cottage Cheese Bake is a warm, wholesome, high-protein dessert made with creamy cottage cheese, fresh apples, oats, cinnamon, and natural sweetener. It delivers all the cozy flavors of apple pie but in a lighter, healthier form — perfect for breakfast, snacks, or guilt-free desserts. Easy to make, naturally sweetened, and packed with nourishing ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1 ½ cups low-fat cottage cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons Truvia (or natural sweetener of choice)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional toppings: honey, granola, chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat: Heat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a small baking dish (8×8 or similar).
  2. Prep apples: Peel and chop apples into small bite-sized pieces.
  3. Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, combine cottage cheese, eggs, Truvia, vanilla, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Mix until smooth.
  4. Add oats & apples: Stir in rolled oats and chopped apples. The mixture will be loose — this is normal.
  5. Bake: Pour mixture into the prepared dish, spread evenly, and bake for 35–40 minutes until golden and set.
  6. Cool & serve: Let cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm or chilled.

Notes

  • Use low-fat or full-fat cottage cheese; avoid fat-free varieties.
  • Blend cottage cheese first if you prefer a smoother texture.
  • Don’t skip the eggs — they help the bake set.
  • Sweeten naturally with fruit, Truvia, or maple syrup.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for 4–5 days or freeze up to 2 months.
