Ingredients
For the Cake:
- 3 cups (360g) all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar
- 1 cup (240ml) vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup (120ml) buttermilk
- 3 cups (360g) apples, peeled and diced
For the Glaze:
- 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk or heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a Bundt pan to prevent sticking.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Set aside.
In another bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with buttermilk, stirring gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
Gently fold in the diced apples, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan and smooth the top. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then carefully invert it onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled cake.
Slice and serve your homemade Apple Bundt Cake with a hot cup of tea or coffee.
Notes
✔ Use Fresh Apples – Choose sweet-tart varieties like Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Fuji for the best flavor.
✔ Don’t Overmix the Batter – This keeps the cake light and fluffy.
✔ Check for Doneness – Use a toothpick to ensure the cake is fully baked.
✔ Let the Cake Cool Before Glazing – This prevents the glaze from melting too much.
