Description

3-Ingredient Crescent Sausage Bites are flaky, creamy, and packed with savory sausage flavor — the ultimate comfort breakfast or brunch snack. Made with just sausage, cream cheese, and crescent dough, these golden bites come together in minutes and disappear even faster. Perfect for busy mornings, potlucks, or cozy weekends!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cans crescent roll dough

Optional Add-Ins

  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions or chives
  • Pinch of crushed red pepper for heat

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Set oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Cook the sausage: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and crumbly. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add cream cheese: Stir in softened cream cheese until melted and fully combined with the sausage. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. Assemble the bites: Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles or press seams to form rectangles. Spoon a small amount of sausage mixture onto each piece and roll tightly.
  5. Bake: Arrange on the baking sheet seam-side down and bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  6. Serve warm: Let cool slightly before serving. Perfect with dipping sauces like sweet chili, ranch, or honey mustard.

Notes

  • Use room temperature cream cheese for easier mixing.
  • Don’t overfill — too much filling can cause the dough to burst open.
  • Drain sausage well to keep the filling light and flaky.
  • To freeze: bake, cool, and freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat at 350°F for 10–12 minutes.
  • Try adding cheddar or hot sausage for flavor variations.
